Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson is defined as A US citizen who lived 1767–1845, was a U.S. general, and the 7th president of the U.S. between 1829–1837. His nickname was “Old Hickory”.

Explanation: Andrew Jackson relates to Thomas Jefferson because he was a general and several other federal office positions during Jefferson's presidency. He also became the 7th United States President a while after Jefferson was out of office. If you click on this link you will see some of Jackson's actions as president and before. Personally, I agree with Mr. Kannan that he was scum. This video represents Jackson because it shows a bit of information about Andrew Jackson and his personality.

I got this picture from Creative Commons and I think it fits because it shows a statue attributing Andrew Jackson and two other presidents. The carved stone beneath each president says several things, most importantly what each did in their presidency. Andrew Jackson's stone reads: "He revitalized American democracy".

This is the link to a song about Andrew Jackson. It relates to Andrew Jackson because it tells the story about how he won the Battle of New Orleans against the British. It relates to Thomas Jefferson because Jefferson made the Louisiana purchase but the British treid to take over the newly bought land, so Jackson went dow there with an army and defeated the British.

I found this quote in the book: "His (Jackson's) military campaigns against the British in the War of 1812 and against the Native Americans in Florida made him a war hero." (352, Biography Quest) and thought it represented Jackson because it shows what kind of perso he was, what he did, and how the Americans were feeling towards the British and the Native Americans at the time.
