Resistance
Definition: the opposition offered by one thing, force, etc., to another.

The word connects to Jefferson and his presidency because Jefferson was president when the Battle of Thames dealt a blow to Native American resistance. Also, since resistance is like war, because its force to another, it can connect to Jefferson's presidency because when he was president, there were many wars going on.

This is a picture of war. This picture fits because resistance is like war. Resistance is like war because its force to another and that's what war is. I got this from creativecommons.org in the section of flikr.

A song that links Jefferson and resistance together is the song Been Here All Along by Hannah Montana. She sings this about someone that is stationed overseas in the war. It connects Jefferson and resistance together because she sings about the war and Jefferson was president when many important wars went on. Here is the link to the song.

The most meaningful line in 9-4 in my opinion is 'Tecumseh's death at the Battle of Thames dealt a blow to Native American resistance'.(Page 330). I think this sentence is important to resistance because it really gives you the general idea on what it means.
