Judicial Review- the authority of the Supreme Court to strike down unconstitutional laws. (Social Studies textbook page 313.)

Judicial Review has to do with Jefferson's presidency because James Madison, Jefferson's secretary, was part of the case Marbury v. Madison that establish Judicial Review.

marburyvmadison.jpg This picture fits with judicial review because it talks about the case where judicial review was established.

A book that has to do with Judicial Review is Democracy and Distrust. This relates to Jefferson and his presidency because it is about an American theory on Judicial Review.

"Judicial Review remains one of the most important powers of the Supreme Court." (pg 313) I felt that this explains that judicial review is still important today.
